The Vikings and 49ers meet Sunday in a matchup of 5-5 teams with NFC playoff hopes.
Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m. (CT) from Levi's Stadium.
This will be the 122nd overall Border Battle between the division foes.
Let's see who the experts are picking to win the game:
49ers 28, Vikings 24 — Gregg Rosenthal, NFL.com
The 49ers are first in EPA/play since Week 8, the game after Kyle Shanahan publicly wavered on whether he'd keep Jimmy Garoppolo as his starting quarterback. Trent Williams is the key component to an offensive line that is pushing defenses around. That's the best recipe to beat a Vikings squad that is at its best defending the pass. In other words, it's a bad week for Vikings run stopper Dalvin Tomlinson to be out.
49ers 27, Vikings 26 — Pete Prisco, CBS Sports
In terms of the playoff picture, this is a big game. The 49ers have righted things with two straight victories, but their defense will be challenged by the Minnesota passing game. San Francisco's run game and quick passing game will be tough to deal with for the Minnesota defense. I will go with the Vikings to keep this one close, with the 49ers pulling it out late.
Vikings 27, 49ers 21 — Bill Bender, Sporting News
This is a fun battle between two fringe NFC playoff contenders. The Vikings have played in six games decided by four or fewer points, and they are 2-4 in those games. Their defense is getting healthy, too. San Francisco has won three of four, but they are just 1-4 at home this season. Minnesota steals one on the road.
49ers 28, Vikings 27 — Michael David Smith, Pro Football Talk
Kirk Cousins and Jimmy Garoppolo are playing better than they're getting credit for this season. This should be a good game that the 49ers will win late.
49ers 24, Vikings 20 — Mike Florio, Pro Football Talk
Another close game for the Vikings. Another coin-flip ending. This time, it comes up tails.
Vikings 26, 49ers 23 — Staff, Bleacher Report
The final hung jury of the week comes with the San Francisco 49ers laying a typical field goal at home in a matchup with a Minnesota Vikings squad that has similar talent and possesses the same 5-5 record. This is Vegas shouting it doesn't know which team is better, and neither do we. They're ranked a few spots apart in DVOA, and they both need this one badly. Everybody's expecting a close game, and the public is about split as well. This might come down to who you trust more.
