COLLEGE - UCF

Played collegiately at UCF with his brother, Shaquem.
In four seasons (2013-16) with the Knights, played in 46 career games and totaled 125 tackles, 36 passes defended and seven interceptions. Also ran two picks back for touchdowns and blocked one kick.
As a senior in 2016, broke up a team-best 15 passes, tying for the second most in a single season in program history.

PREP - Lakewood (FLA.)

Coached by Cory Moore at Lakewood, which advanced to the 2012 5A regional semifinals.
Ranked as the No. 57 cornerback in the nation by Rivals, and No. 104 by ESPN.
Earned a spot on the 2012 class 5A all-state first team.
Named to the 2012 Tampa Bay Times All-Suncoast First Team.
Selected to the 2013 U.S. Under-19 National Team, assembled by USA Football.
Competed in the 2012 Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Game.
Recorded 44 tackles, three interceptions, 12 pass breakups and three forced fumbles for Lakewood in 2012. Also scored five touchdowns.
Amassed 48 tackles, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and eight breakups in 2011, scoring one touchdown during the season.
Participated in the 2011 Under Armour Combine.
Member of the 7-on-7 Team Tampa undefeated and state championship squad.

OFF THE FIELD

Son of Terry and Tangie Griffen.
Born in St. Petersburg, Fla., a minute before his twin brother, Shaquem. The brothers played three seasons together with the Seattle Seahawks from 2018-20.
Played little league football with Seahawk S Rayshawn Jenkins, who he played with in Jacksonville in 2021 and 2022.
While in high school, received the United States Achievement Academy Student of Excellence Award.
The mayor presented him with the On Top of Your Game Award as well as a key to the city.
Started his own track club in St. Petersburg, Fla., with Shaquem called the St. Pete Nitro Track Club.
Has a daughter, Amor.
