EAGAN, Minn. – The Vikings are opening their preseason against the Raiders for the second time in three seasons.
This time, however, Minnesota will host Las Vegas, where the Vikings began the Kevin O'Connell era in August 2022.
Kickoff, with all its new-fangled dynamics, is scheduled for 3 p.m. (CT).
O'Connell said Thursday that he plans to start Sam Darnold at quarterback before transitioning to J.J. McCarthy and then Jaren Hall. Nick Mullens is unlikely to play because of his experience level in Minnesota's system.
