EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings have agreed to terms on a deal with punter Ryan Wright.
Wright will return for his fourth season in Purple after joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
Last season, he played all 17 regular-season games plus Minnesota's Wild Card Playoff game against the Rams. Wright punted 56 times during the regular season, averaging 46.5 and 40.5 net yards per boot, and improved his touchback percentage to 8.9 after posting 11.9 percent in 203. He did not have a touchback through the final four regular-season contests.
Wright dropped 27 punts inside the 20-yard line; he had one punt blocked, when the Vikings hosted the Bears in Week 14.
The deal means Minnesota is positioned to keep together the core specialist group of Wright, veteran long snapper Andrew DePaola and second-year kicker Will Reichard.
