Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs have become a wide receiver duo that opposing defenders fear.
ESPN ran an article Tuesday that identified the **“best position groups throughout the league,”** using data and grading from analytics site Pro Football Focus.
Of wide receiver groups from all 32 teams, Diggs and Thielen were tabbed as the top tandem because "they did more to help their quarterback as a pair than any one receiver in the league."

Diggs led all receivers in contested catch rate (64.5 percent), while Thielen ranked in the top six, meaning they led the league in contested catch rate as a duo. They were the only wide receiver pairing to both rank inside the top 10 in overall PFF grade in 2017. The key now becomes what depth looks like behind them in 2018. Kendall Wright was signed in free agency and can be a capable slot weapon, but Laquon Treadwell's time is running out to prove he can make any kind of impact. Stacy Coley graded extremely well in the preseason a year ago, catching 10 of 16 targets, and could pass Treadwell on the depth chart.
Runners up for the wide receiver position were the Lions "balanced receiving corps" and the Buccaneers trio of Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries.
The Vikings showed up another time on PFF's ranking: as runners up for the best defensive interior. The Rams were graded at No. 1 with Aaron Donald joined by offseason signee Ndamukong Suh.
Linval Joseph is one of the best nose tackles in the league. The Vikings also signed Sheldon Richardson, who had only one sack last season but notched 36 total pressures and can rush the passer.
Griffen family dedicated to supporting local nonprofit
Everson Griffen has made a major impact for the Vikings on the field, but he's making a difference off of it, as well.
Everson and his wife, Tiffany, have been involved for some time with Perspectives, Inc., a nonprofit based in St. Louis Park that seeks to "empower mothers and rebuild families."
According to the *Sun Sailor, *the Griffens "will **serve as the honorary chairs** for the nonprofit's Seed the Change Capital Campaign."
The $12 million campaign is aimed at transforming Perspectives' 60-year-old family center into a facility designed specifically for mothers and children who have experienced a lifetime of trauma. An additional 16,000 square feet of program space will allow the agency to expand existing programming as well as launch "Day One," a new multicultural, transdisciplinary early childhood education program for at-risk children 18 months old through preschool.
The article quoted Everson, who said the following:
"One of the major objectives for Perspectives' new Family Center is to provide more resources to help the kids. They and their moms are struggling – my mom was a single mom, so I know how hard that is. This project will help kids achieve their goals, will touch the community and put smiles on children's faces."
