Steve Sabo enters his second season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024. He came to the Vikings after serving as a pro scout for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022. Sabo is responsible for college scouting in the Southeast region.
Prior to the Jaguars, Sabo spent 12 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. He spent two seasons scouting the Midwest and Southeast areas before serving as the director of college scouting for six seasons, the director of player personnel for two seasons and the director of pro personnel for one season.
Sabo came to Atlanta following 12 seasons with the Cleveland Browns in a variety of roles, including the teams pro personnel coordinator (1998-2006), director of pro personnel (2007-08) and senior director of pro personnel (2009). In Cleveland, Sabo was responsible for scouting NFL teams while assisting with advance scouting of upcoming opponents. Prior to his tenure with the Browns, Sabo served as a personnel assistant (1994-96) and pro scout (1996-98) with the New Orleans Saints.
A native of Willingboro, N.J., Sabo and his wife, Ursula, have two daughters, Anderson and Kieran.
