Chris French returns for his seventh season with the Vikings in 2024 and his first as football quantitative methods senior analyst, where he leverages a multitude of data sources and build analytical tools to assess players.

French is also responsible for evaluating the Vikings situational tendencies and performance to help coaches assess the strengths and weaknesses of their team and the opponents. French started with the Vikings in 2018 as a football analytics intern where he helped maintain internal analytics software used for the professional and college level grading system.

He also developed new ways of grading the performance of special teams players in comparison to their expected outcomes on punts, field goals and kickoffs. French also is a member of the Vikings DEI Council.

A native of Gaithersburg, Md., French attended Michigan and has a degree in data science and statistics.
