Traylor also assisted in the development of rookie QB Spencer Rattler and second-year QB Jake Haener in 2024. Rattler started six of the seven games he played in Carr's absence, while Haener saw action in eight matchups, starting one.

Traylor originally joined the Saints as a scouting assistant in 2019, spending two seasons in the personnel department prior to transitioning to the coaching staff as a defensive assistant for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He began his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant at the University of Texas in 2016, spending two seasons with the Longhorns working with both quarterbacks and receivers. In 2018, Traylor served as an offensive analyst at the University of Arkansas where he helped coach the quarterbacks.

A native of Gilmer, Texas, Traylor played quarterback at Mississippi College (2012-13) before transferring to Texas A&M for the final two seasons of his collegiate career (2014-15).
