Before becoming a full-time freelance illustrator and graphic artist in June of 2012, Stephen worked for newspapers in Pittsburgh and at the St. Paul Pioneer Press. He created graphics and illustrations for 14 years and received a handful of awards. In 2011, he was commissioned to create the official commerative poster for the Minnesota State Fair, which won the Outstanding Poster Award for 2011 at the International Association of Fairs and Expositions, Convention and Trade Shows. His artwork has also been licensed through Star Wars, Disney, Hasbro, Indiana Jones, Muppets, Star Trek, 20th Century Fox and Marvel.
