I am primarily a non-traditional portrait artist, but I also do non-portrait works from time to time. I like to use mediums and content directly related to my subjects life/legacy. The works not only show the viewer an interpretation of the subjects likeness, but also to remind them of how that subject left an impression in history, and possibly even in the life of the viewer themselves; becoming a sort of "visual biography" to the figure portrayed. Born and raised in Comfrey, MN, I received my B.A. in studio art from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN where I currently live and work. My work has been show in galleries in Minneapolis, Chicago, and New York City.
