Michael Bellotti began oil painting in 2006 after purchasing the Bob Rossʼ Joy of Painting. Teaching himself the art of oil painting through books and magazines Michael has completed over 600 paintings to date. Focusing mostly on portraits and figurative work Michael's subject matter is, however, expansive. His style is ever evolving but currently could be classified as Impressionistic Realism. Focusing on accurate draftsmanship and edge work with a balance of muted and flamboyant color as well as thin and heavy paint application.
