News hit early in the morning on Tuesday that Adrian Peterson was suspended for the rest of 2014 and beyond, making his return to the playing field this season a long-shot (read the Vikings' statement on the suspension here). Two news stories popped up late in the afternoon on Wednesday: first, with Peterson likely shelved for the rest of the season and Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata both on this week's injury report, the Vikings claimed RB Ben Tate off waivers from Cleveland.
