EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Tuesday placed All-Pro/Pro Bowl long snapper Andrew DePaola and rookie standout kicker Will Reichard on Injured Reserve.
DePaola suffered a hand injury on Sunday when Reichard was working through a quadriceps injury.
Both stayed in the game, helping Minnesota prevail 21-13 over Indianapolis on Sunday Night Football.
In DePaola, the Vikings will have to replace a two-time Pro Bowler, 2022 First-Team All-Pro and season-long captain.
Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell on Monday announced DePaola will need a surgical procedure that will sideline him for multiple weeks. DePaola has played 66 regular-season games and one playoff contest for the Vikings since joining Minnesota in 2020.
Minnesota (6-2) will have the opportunity to return either or both from Injured Reserve but only after a minimum of four weeks.

Reichard began his NFL career by making his first 14 field goals and 20 extra points attempted. He missed from 53 yards and 31 yards in the second quarter but persisted to handle kickoff duties and make all three extra points in the win.
The Vikings visit the Jaguars (2-7) in Week 10.
