The Packers (6-3) have not lost four straight games since 2008. The team heads to Minnesota this weekend with a three game losing streak to take on the Vikings (7-3) at 3:25 (CT) Sunday. The Packers have taken note of the Vikings success on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Here's a list of topics the Packers players and coaches addressed during media sessions this week.
Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy on Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer and his defensive scheme:
"They are disciplined. They are fundamentally sound. They scheme challenge. He gives you all three levels of stress that a defense should apply to the offense. New faces, new scheme, but I think the thing I pay a lot of attention to is it's year two. I think you are definitely seeing the growth that the Vikings are going through."
Mike McCarthy on defending Vikings RB Adrian Peterson:
"Did you watch the game (last) Sunday? He's playing at a very high level. He has the ability to still carry the ball an unlimited amount of times in a ballgame. He has the ability to pound away, pound away, and then hit the long run. He's definitely somebody you have to pay a lot of attention to. "
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers on Mike Zimmer:
RELATED: Rodgers praised Zimmer and his defensive scheme when he spoke to the Minnesota media on a conference call Wednesday.
"Coach Zimmer is an excellent football coach," Rodgers said. "He does a great job of having his guys prepared every single week. They understand their scheme and make things look very similar and bring different types of pressure behind it. Anytime you're at the forefront of revolutions in this league, to say, as they do with their seven and eight up looks they started at Cincinnati, that says a lot about the type of coach you are."
Packers WR James Jones on playing the Vikings on the road:
"They have a very talented defense. They are coached very well. Everyone knows their assignments. They are flying around, and they look good on film. It'll be a good task for us. It's a good defense on their home turf. They'll probably be amped up."
Packers DB Morgan Burnett on the Vikings offense:
"All division games are tough. You go into a hostile crowd… it's one of those games that's going to take a 60-minute ballgame. It's going to come down to the end. They look very good. Teddy Bridgewater takes the lead of that offense. He can make all the throws. They also have a great leader in their running back. He's possibly one of the greatest running backs to ever play the game. It's going to take a collective effort to stop those guys."
