EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings traded down in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft on Thursday night, sending the 14th pick to the New York Jets.
Minnesota also dealt the 143rd pick in order to receive the 23rd, 66th and 86th picks as compensation.
The Jets used the 14th overall pick to select offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker out of Southern Cal.
The Vikings entered the draft with 10 total selections but without a second-round selection. The addition of the 66th pick gets them to near the start of the third round.
