EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Vikings on Monday announced they have signed defensive tackle Toby Johnson to the 53-man roster and placed defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd on injured reserve.
Johnson joined the Vikings in January, signing with the team before the Vikings Wild Card game against the Seahawks.
He spent the offseason with the team and was released during final roster reductions. The Vikings then signed Johnson to their practice squad on Sept. 4.
Johnson was a teammate of Cordarrelle Patterson's at Hutchinson Community College before transferring to Georgia.

Floyd played in Week 1 at Tennessee but has been dealing with a knee injury ever since. The fourth-year pro has 121 career tackles (Vikings coaches' tally), 9.5 sacks and 25.5 tackles for loss.
