EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Vikings on Thursday announced they have signed tight end MyCole Pruitt to their practice squad and released tackle Sean Hickey.
Pruitt was drafted by Minnesota in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was waived Tuesday when the Vikings activated quarterback Taylor Heinicke off the non-football injury list.
Pruitt caught 10 passes for 89 yards as a rookie but has battled injuries this season. He caught one pass for seven yards in Week 4 but suffered an injury against Houston in Week 5.
After Pruitt cleared waivers, the Vikings were able to bring him back on their practice squad.
