Eden Prairie, MN (May 31, 2016) – The Vikings have announced that the club has signed DT Bruce Gaston and reverted DE B.J. DuBose to waived/injured.
Bruce Gaston joins the Vikings after stints with the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. The 3rd-year pro originally signed as an undrafted free agent for the 1st of 2 stints with the Cardinals following the 2014 NFL Draft. Most recently, the Purdue University product spent 11 weeks of the 2015 campaign on the Bears active roster, totaling 11 tackles (8 solo), 4 QBH, 1 TFL and 1 sack. The Chicago, Ill., native lettered 4 years for the Boilermakers, playing in 50 consecutive games with 44 starts. Gaston finished his collegiate career with 131 tackles (74 solo), 24 TFL, 7.0 sacks, 4 FR, 2 FF and 2 PD.
