EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Wednesday announced 12 players have signed to the team's practice squad.
All of the players spent the offseason — or longer — with Minnesota but were released Tuesday when Minnesota had to reduce its roster from 75 players to the regular-season maximum of 53.
Teams are allowed to sign up to 16 players on their practice squads.
The following players joined Minnesota's practice squad as exceptions:
Receiver Dan Chisena
Safety Myles Dorn
Chisena has appeared in 25 games, mostly on special teams, since joining Minnesota as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
Dorn also joined Minnesota as an undrafted free agent in 2020. After missing all of his rookie season with an injury, he appeared in nine games.
The following players joined Minnesota's practice squad without an exception:
Guard Kyle Hinton
Receiver Trishton Jackson
Running back Bryant Koback
Linebacker William Kwenkeu
Tight end Nick Muse
Outside linebacker Janarius Robinson
Defensive lineman T.J. Smith
Center Josh Sokol
Defensive lineman Jaylen Twyman
Smith appeared in one game for Minnesota in 2021. All other players have yet to make their debuts in an NFL regular-season game.
The following player joined Minnesota's practice squad as a veteran:
Cornerback Parry Nickerson
Nickerson has appeared in 25 career games, including four with Minnesota in 2021.
