2:57 PM —Kyle Rudolph drew a pass interference penalty against Kam Chancellor for 19, then followed with a gain of 24 to the Seattle 18-yard-line.

The Vikings took a timeout because the play clock was about to expire. They have one left.

2:52 PM —The Vikings will get the ball back with 1:52 remaining. Minnesota has two timeouts left.

2:47 PM —The Vikings have three timeouts and the two-minute warning after punting to Seattle; trail 10-9 with 2:13 left.

2:43 PM —The Vikings force a quick three-and-punt to takeover at their own 19-yard-line.

2:40 PM —The Vikings punt the ball back to Seattle.

2:31 PM —Seahawks K Steven Hauschka hits a 46-yard field goal attempt.

The Vikings go down 10-9 with 8:04 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Seattle drive goes 12 yards in seven plays.

2:25 PM —Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor forces a fumble by Adrian Peterson to give Seattle the ball at the Minnesota 40-yard-line.

2:19 PM —Russell Wilson makes something out of nothing.

Seattle is on the board after a 3-yard touchdown from Russell Wilson to Doug Baldwin.

The score was set up by an improbable salvage play by Wilson, who recovered an errant snap 16 yards behind the line of scrimmage, avoided defenders and found Tyler Lockett deep in the middle of the field for a gain of 35 to the Minnesota 4.

The Seahawks now trail 9-7 with 11:37 remaining in the fourth quarter.

2:08 PM —Blair Walsh does it again.

Walsh blasts a 47-yard field goal to make it 9-0 with :02 left in the third quarter.

The Vikings took another 4:39 off the clock, thanks to a big third-down throw by Bridgewater to WR Stefon Diggs, and then overcome a sack on the next third down with help from Walsh.

2:02 PM — The Vikings open the Seahawks next possession with sacks by DE Everson Griffen and DT Sharrif Floyd for losses of nine and four yards.

The Vikings force a punt and have the ball at the Seattle 48-yard-line with 4:41 left in the third quarter.

1:51 PM —Blair Walsh sinks the 43-yard field goal to put the Vikings up 6-0 with 7:04 remaining in the third quarter.

The Vikings capitalize on the turnover.

Bridgewater opened drive with 11-yard pass to Zach Line, that included 15 extra on a roughing the passer call.

Seattle tackled Peterson for a loss of seven on second down, but Bridgewater got 6 back with a pass to Jerick McKinnon.

The drive went 28 yards in five plays.

1:46 PM — CB Trae Waynes comes up with the first interception of his career at the right time.

Waynes intercepted Russell Wilson on a deflected pass and returned the ball 24 yards to the Vikings 46-yard-line.

Waynes stepped in for Terence Newman during that possession and stepped up mightily. The rookie broke up a deep attempt to Tyler Lockett, on the previous play.

There is 9:49 remaining in the third quarter.

1:25 PM —The Vikings-Seahawks go into halftime with the Vikings up 3-0.

QB Russell Wilson has thrown for 39 yards and QBTeddy Bridgewater threw for 68. Bridgewater is 9-13 on pass attempts.

The Vikings have become the first team to keep the Seahawks scoreless in a first half this season.

For a second straight week, Minnesota has a three-point lead at the break, and for a second straight week, the Vikings overcame a pass interference penalty during an opponent's final possession of the first half.

Minnesota won the field position and time of possession battles, controlling the ball for 18:30 of the first half.

The Seahawks will get the ball first in the second half as they defered on the coin toss.

1:16 PM —The Vikings drive stalled after DE Cliff Avril made a nice read on a screen to Zach Line, tackling the fullback for a loss.

Line hustled down on the punt to tackle WR Tyler Lockett. The Seahawks have the ball at their own 14-yard-line with 2:48 left in the first half.

1:06 PM —The Seahawks opened their playbook during that last possession, play-action pass from Wilson to Baldwin and on a read-option run, but Vikings take over on downs after continuing to rally to the football.

Vikings take over at own 23-yard-line and quickly on the move with Peterson.

1:01 PM —The Vikings are unable to extend the drive because of great a play by Earl Thomas, breaking up a beauty of a pass from Bridgewater to McKinnon. Seattle's ball at the Seahawks 39-yard-line with 10:10 left in first half.

12:56 PM —The Vikings are getting more purple helmets around the football today, evidenced with a nice tackle started by Everson Griffen and finished with help from Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks to force a punt.

12:34 PM —K Blair Walsh gives the Vikings a 3-0 lead with a 22-yard kick.

The drive went for 25 yards on five plays after the Vikings stopped the Seahawks short on the fake punt.

There is 1:01 remaining in the first.

12:25 PM —A nice job by LB Eric Kendricks, defending a wheel route on second-and-7. CB Xavier Rhodes breaks up a pass to WR Jermaine Kearse to force a  Seattle punt.

It's a low snap, which forces Ryan into a scramble to avoid Adam Thielen. Jerick McKinnon with the tackle.

The Vikings take over at the Seattle's 28-yard-line.

Adrian Peterson for three yards and six more on the ground sets up third-and-less-than-1. The Vikings take a first timeout.

12:19 PM —After the Seahawks won a coin toss attended by honorary captain Bud Grant (in a short-sleeved polo), Seattle deferred and the Vikings took the opening kickoff.

The Vikings are blending passes and runs and just converted fourth-and-1 with a quarterback sneak by Teddy Bridgewater, diving between Joe Berger and Brandon Fusco.

The Vikings are facing fourth-and-4 and Seattle just took its first timeout.

11:58 AM — One of the biggest improvements the Vikings made last week at Green Bay was defending the run better than they did the first time against the Packers.

In Week 11, Minnesota allowed Green Bay to rush 34 times for 124 yards. In the regular season finale, the Vikings limited the Packers to 26 carries and 76 yards with solid team tackling.

"Yeah, we did a much better job in the running game, yes," Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer said this week. "I thought we were physical upfront defensively. I thought the defensive line played well. Everybody played good defensively. We were much more physical. We got off of blocks better. That was a big key to it. We had to play the run-game – I know I saw someone said we had to play the run good in order to win, and they were right."

The Seahawks will start Christine Michael at running back today in place of Marshawn Lynch and are without rookie Thomas Rawls, who had 19 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown to lead a rush effort of 36 carries for 173 yards.

10:30 AM - As expected, the Vikings will be as close to full strength as most teams can hope to be this late in the season, as DT Linval Joseph (foot), RB Adrian Peterson (low back), and DE Everson Griffen (shoulder) are all active and starting today against the Seahawks.

DT Kenrick Ellis, who injured his ankle late in last Sunday's win over Green Bay, is inactive.
