Several local mascots and fellow NFLers (Toro from the Texans, Freddie Falcon, Sourdough Sam from the 49ers, T-Rac from the Titans and Swoop from the Eagles) are scheduled to join Viktor.
U.S. Bank Hometown Hero: During each home game, U.S. Bank and the Minnesota Vikings will recognize individuals who have helped make our community a better place. We will honor Minnesotans who have gone to extraordinary measures.
This game's Hometown Hero is Isaiah Williams, a 15-year-old sophomore at Edison High School. Isaiah was born with a birth defect known as Fibular Hemimilia (absence of bones) in both his legs and feet. His right foot and ankle was amputated at 10 months old. His left foot, due to severe club foot, was placed in an Ankle Foot Orthotic (AFO) brace. In an attempt to correct his left foot, Isaiah has undergone five surgeries throughout his lifetime. Unfortunately, all of the surgeries were unsuccessful, leading to the amputation of his left foot and ankle. Despite these challenges, Isaiah has an amazing positivity and brightens others' lives.
