EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. —With the addition of 18 new Vikings to the roster over the past week, there soon will be plenty of fresh faces around Winter Park.
The numbers for drafted players, rookie free agents and veterans who were brought in this offseason are listed below, along with the numbers of Vikings who have switched jersey numbers.
Offensive lineman Isame Faciane, for example, changed to No. 69 from No. 76, which is now worn by Alex Boone, who was signed this offseason as a free agent.
First-round pick Laquon Treadwell wore No. 1 in college at Mississippi but is doubling up with No. 11.
A pair of draftees — fourth-round guard Willie Beavers and seventh-round defensive end Stephen Weatherly — will both wear No. 64 for the upcoming rookie minicamp.
That tends to happen when teams are near the maximum number of 90 players allowed on a roster during the offseason and start of training camp. The Vikings currently have 89 players on their roster.
