Eagan, Minn. (November 27, 2018) – The Vikings announced on Tuesday that the team has placed veteran safety Andrew Sendejo on the Reserve/Injured list.
Rookie cornerback Craig James was signed to the active roster. The Vikings also signed cornerback Jalen Myrick to the practice squad on Tuesday. Defensive end Jonathan Wynn was waived from the Practice Squad/Injured list to make room for Myrick.
Prior to being elevated to the 53-man roster, James (5-10, 195) spent the last six weeks of the season on the team's practice squad after being released during final cuts (9/1/18). The undrafted free agent originally signed with Vikings on 5/7/18 after participating in the team's rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. A native of Edwardsville, Illinois, James totaled 67 tackles (50 solo), five interceptions, and 25 passes defensed in 20 career games for the Salukis. James also spent two seasons at the University of Minnesota prior to his time at Southern Illinois, playing in 18 games as defensive back and punt returner.
Myrick (5-11, 200) rejoins the Vikings practice squad after being released by the Vikings on 10/27/18. A seventh-round pick (222nd overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft, Myrick was active in five games with the Jaguars in 2017, serving as a reserve cornerback and special teams contributor. As a Golden Gopher, the Bloomingdale, Georgia native totaled 93 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 21 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and five interceptions in 40 career games and was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2015.
Sendejo suffered a groin injury during Week 5 against the Eagles in Philadelphia.
