3:09 PM - The Vikings are 3-0!
Minnesota finishes with eight sacks and three interceptions of Cam Newton as Minnesota moves to 3-0 with a 22-10 road win. Marcus Sherels had a 54-yard punt return for a score and Kyle Rudolph added a 15-yard touchdown catch as Blair Walsh added a pair of field goals.
3:04 PM - The Vikings run the clock down to the 2-minute warning before Jeff Locke's punt rolls into the end zone. The Panthers take over on their own 20-yard line.
3:02 PM -Minnesota's defense comes up with their third takeaway of the game. Everyone Griffen pressured Cam Newton, whose pass was intercepted by defensive tackle Tom Johnson.
2:46 PM - The Vikings drive inside the Carolina 10-yard line but settle for a 22-yard field goal by Blair Walsh. The Vikings lead 22-10 late in the fourth quarter.
2:34 PM - The Vikings defense continues their dominate second half as Everson Griffen and Anthony Barr each sack Newton on the drive. Minnesota has six sacks on the afternoon. The Vikings take over on their own 38-yard line after the punt.
2:23 PM -The Vikings drive in the red zone but can't find the end zone. Blair Walsh nails a 28-yard field goal as Minnesota increases its lead to 19-10.
2:19 PM - Minnesota leads 16-10 over Carolina at the end of the third quarter. The Vikings are nearing the red zone after an 18-yard catch by tight end Rhett Ellison.
2:16 PM - Terence Newman picks off Cam Newton and the Vikings take over on the Panthers 43-yard line. Brian Robison had a sack of Newton on the drive. Newman's interception was the Vikings eight takeaway this season.
2:13 PM - The Vikings go three-and-out as Jeff Locke punts from just outside his own end zone. Cordarrelle Patterson makes the tackle on punt coverage and the Panthers take over on their own 35-yard line.
2:07 PM - Minnesota's defense forces a Carolina punt near midfield. The Vikings offense takes over on their own 10-yard line after a fait catch by Sherels.
1:56 PM - The Vikings take the lead on a 15-yard touchdown pass from Sam Bradford to Kyle Rudolph. Jerick McKinnon adds the 2-point conversion for a 16-10 lead.
After putting up just 34 yards of offense in the first half, Minnesota put together a 79-yard touchdown drive to open the second half.
1:31 PM - Trae Waynes picked off a deep pass by Cam Newton to keep the Panthers at bay before halftime.
Carolina has outgained Minnesota 205-34 but only has a two-point lead at halftime.
1:25 PM - The Panthers are on the move with a pair of passes from Newton to Greg Olsen. They have the ball at their own 46 with 1:54 left in the first half.
1:17 PM - Marcus Sherels with the 54-yard return of a punt for a touchdown, but Blair Walsh misfires on the extra point. The Vikings trail 10-8 with 3:21 left in the first half.
Everson Griffen (illness) is questionable. Alex Boone (hip) is questionable.
1:13 PM - Jeff Locke netted 58 yards on a punt that was downed by Cordarrelle Patterson at the 2-yard line.
1:09 PM - The Vikings go three-and-punt and are unable to flip field position. A hands-to-the-face penalty on Jayron Kearse will place the ball at the Minnesota 42.
1:07 PM - The Vikings defense held tight with disadvantageous field position and forced a 54-yard field goal attempt that smacked the right upright and fell backward. Still 10-2 Carolina with 6:26 left in the first half.

12:58 PM - A block in the back call against Kelvin Benjamin wiped away a 56-yard catch and run by Fozzy Whittaker, and the Vikings forced a punt, but the Panthers have pinned Minnesota deep in its own territory.
The Vikings will have the ball at their own 3-yard line.
12:44 PM - The Vikings have advanced the ball to midfield and will face third-and-2 to start the second quarter.
Jerick McKinnon has been elusive and gained 14 on a run, and Cordarrelle Patterson withstood a tackle attempt to gain 8 after a short pass.
12:41 PM - The Vikings are on the board. Danielle Hunter sacked Cam Newton in the end zone for a safety.
Minnesota trails 10-2 with 1:44 left in the first quarter.
Marcus Sherels returned the free kick to the 27.
12:34 PM - The Vikings have their first couple of completions of the game and were able to flip field position after a 52-yard punt by Jeff Locke.
Marcus Sherels hustled to keep the ball from reaching the end zone.
12:24 PM - The Panthers have taken a 10-0 lead with 5:20 left in the first quarter. Cam Newton scored on a keeper from 3 yards out. The critical play of the drive was a 27-yard completion to Corey Brown to convert third-and-12.
12:17 PM - The Vikings went a quick three-and-punt on their opening possession.
Minnesota opened with a pair of carries by Matt Asiata, then suffered an incompletion on third down.
Jeff Locke's punt took an unfriendly hop for the Vikings before Rhett Ellison downed it at the Carolina 42-yard line.
12:13 PM -Matt Asiata started at running back in place of Adrian Peterson, who underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus Thursday.
Asiata's last start for the Vikings was in the 2014 season finale against Chicago. He rushed 19 times for 91 yards (4.8 per carry) with a long of 19. Asiata added two catches for 17 yards.
Asiata averaged 58 rushing yards per game and 3.6 per carry in his previous five starts.
He had 52 yards on 14 attempts (3.7 per carry) the last time the teams met (Nov. 30, 2014).
12:12 PM - The Vikings limited the Panthers to a field goal on their first possession. Carolina went 48 yards on seven plays to take a 3-0 lead.
12:09 PM - Â The Vikings changed and started Xavier Rhodes instead of Trae Waynes. It is Rhodes' first start of 2016.
10:30 AM - CB Xavier Rhodes (knee) is active today for the Vikings against the Panthers after suffering a knee injury prior to the season opener against the Titans which sidelined him for the first two games of the season.
TE MyCole Pruitt (knee), who was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, is out again this week.

6:00 AM - The Vikings will again look to pull off an upset of an NFC power while shorthanded as they are set to square off with the Carolina Panthers in just a few hours.
