The Minnesota Vikings have made the following staff promotions and recent hires entering the 2014 football season. Four promotions included staffers being named departmental directors- Bob Hagan, Paul Nelson, Jamaal Stephenson and Eric Sugarman.

Hagan enters his 24th season with the Vikings in 2014 and will serve as Executive Director of Public Relations after working as Director of Public Relations since 1998, overseeing the Vikings PR staff for media requests and historical archives. Nelson will work with the coaching and personnel staffs and oversee all football-related information technology and strategic planning as Director of Football Information Systems, an area he has worked in since joining the club in 2002. After 12 seasons in college scouting with the Vikings, including the past 5 as Assistant Director of College Scouting, Stephenson is now Director of College Scouting for the team. Recognized by the Fritz Pollard Alliance as the 2012 NFC Scout of the Year, Stephenson began his NFL career in 1999 with Washington. Sugarman is in his 9th season with the Vikings and 18th in the NFL in 2014 and will serve as Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer. His expanded responsibilities will include overseeing all medical staff associated with the team while continuing as Director of the Vikings on-staff Athletic Trainers.
