EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Vikings on Tuesday announced they have brought tight end Kyle Carter back to their practice squad and signed rookie free agent Marquis Lucas.
Carter joined the Vikings this offseason as an undrafted free agent. He was released during roster reductions and spent time on the practice squad earlier this year.
Carter will take the place of MyCole Pruitt, who was signed to Chicago's active roster. The Vikings tabbed Pruitt in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
He battled injuries early this season and was released from the 53-man roster and signed to Minnesota's practice squad in November.
Lucas played guard and right tackle at West Virginia, playing in a total of 35 games. He spent time the offseason with the Bills after joining Buffalo as a free agent.
