The Vikings appreciate recently receiving the "Bring It Home" Award during the annual Greater Mankato Business Awards and Hall of Fame presented by ISG.
The ceremony, hosted by Greater Mankato Growth, Visit Mankato and City Center Partnership "recognizes outstanding businesses, organizations and professionals."
The "Bring It Home" Award is presented to "an individual, group or organization that works alongside Visit Mankato to bring a significant event to Greater Mankato." The Vikings celebrated their 50th training camp on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato this summer.
Fifty years at the same out-of-city location is tied with Pittsburgh for longest in the NFL.
Vikings Vice President of Operations and Facilities Chad Lundeen accepted the award on behalf of the Vikings. Lundeen is in his 18th season with the Vikings and an alumnus of Minnesota State University, Mankato. He competed for the Mavericks hockey team for four seasons, received the Team Leadership Award as a junior and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees.
