The Minnesota Vikings hosted the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Leadership Minnesota Program at the team's Winter Park training facility for a luncheon on Friday, March 7. While the group heard from a number of Vikings officials, new Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner highlighted the event.
Turner spoke to the collection of Minnesota business leaders about his coaching philosophy, style of leadership, and keys to success, as well as why he chose to join the Vikings this offseason. He also shared stories about his 30-year NFL coaching history and fielded a variety of questions.
Along with Turner, Vice President of Public Affairs and Stadium Development Lester Bagley and Executive Director of Communications Jeff Anderson discussed the latest news regarding the team's new stadium. Bagley highlighted the design concepts and amenities of the new home for Vikings football while Anderson provided information on the team's transition to the University of Minnesota and the state-of-the-art Preview Center that opened to Season Ticket Members earlier this week. The group then toured Winter Park, getting a look at the facility's locker room, weight room and indoor field house.
"The Minnesota Chamber is a great partner of the Vikings and we are proud, long-time members," Said Bagley. "Today, those business leaders got to hear from an outstanding leader. Norv Turner has a proven track record of leading teams and offenses to success in the National Football League, and we are fortunate and very excited that he has joined the Vikings."
