Prater begins his second stint with the Minnesota Vikings, signing with the club as a free agent. Prater played in 1 game during the 2015 season with the Indianapolis Colts after he was released by Minnesota during final roster cuts. The Omaha, Neb., native has recorded 6 tackles and 1 INT during his career. In his first career start with the Vikings (vs. PHI. 12/15/13), Prater intercepted a Nick Foles pass and returned it 30 yards. Prater was selected in the fifth round (#156) of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Bengals, where he played for Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer. Prater spent the 2012 season with the Bengals on injured reserve and opened the 2013 campaign with the Philadelphia Eagles before the Vikings acquired him on waivers on 10/23/13.
Harris signed to the Vikings active roster after spending the first 13 weeks of the 2015 season on the team's practice squad. The former Virginia Cavalier was named 1st-Team All-ACC by coaches and media and 2nd-team Walter Camp All-America as a junior when he recorded a career-best 8 INTs, the most by a Cavalier since Ronde Barber in 1994. Harris ended his collegiate career with 289 tackles (145 solo), 11 INTs, 6 TFLs, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 19 PDs.
