EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Tuesday announced the signing of offensive lineman J.P Quinn.
Quinn, who will join the team as a center, played collegiately at Central Michigan University before spending time with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason.
The Illinois native started all 13 of Central Michigan's games in 2017. He spent 11 at center and one each at right and left guard. He made 28 starts in his college career, including the last 26 in a row.
Quinn was a Third-Team All-MAC selection in 2017 as the Chippewas went 8-5. He was joined on that team by Vikings rookie tight end Tyler Conklin, who was a fifth-round pick in April.
Quinn helped Central Michigan's offense rack up nearly 390 total yards per game in his senior season. His signing brings the total number of offensive linemen on the Vikings roster to 17.
The Vikings also announced they released tight end Josiah Price on Tuesday.
