EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings have added receiver and returner Jalen Reagor to their 2022 roster.
Minnesota acquired Reagor via a trade with Philadelphia; the Vikings sent a 2023 seventh-round selection and a 2024 conditional draft pick (fourth or fifth round) to the Eagles in return.
Philadelphia drafted Reagor 21st overall in 2020, taking him just one spot before the Vikings tabbed fellow wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
Reagor hasn't shined on offense the way some expected, but he stepped in as a punt returner for Philadelphia last season. He returned 31 punts for 227 yards, which tied for eighth most punt return yards in the NFL in 2021. Reagor's average was 7.3 yards per punt return.
In 2020, Reagor returned just four punts but took one 73 yards for a touchdown against Green Bay.
Over two seasons with the Eagles, Reagor has totaled 64 catches for 695 yards and three receiving touchdowns.
Following Vikings roster moves Tuesday to get to the final 53-man roster, Reagor joins a receivers room in Minnesota with Jefferson, Adam Thielen, K.J. Osborn and Jalen Nailor.
In order to keep their roster at 53, the Vikings waived receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette as a corresponding move.
Reagor is the second former TCU player added by the Vikings this week, joining Ross Blacklock, who was acquired Tuesday in a trade with Houston.
