EAGAN, Minn. — We've reached April, which means the 2020 NFL Draft is around the corner.
The Vikings currently have a pair of first-round selections — the 22nd and 25th overall picks — the former of which Minnesota acquired in a trade with the Bills for wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The draft will be held April 23-25. We found 18 recent projections from draft analysts around the league regarding what the Vikings will do with two selections on Day 1.

The predicted pick at No. 22: Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
The Vikings are in the hunt for receivers and cornerbacks. And with two first-round picks — spoiler ahead – we're going to get them one of each. Jefferson is my best available player at this point in the mock, and he knows how to generate separation and find holes in the defense.
The predicted pick at No. 25: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama
The Vikings replaced Stefon Diggs at wide receiver with one of their first-round picks, and now they're drafting his brother with the other. Minnesota loves taking corners on Day 1, especially longer guys with speed and ball skills. A.J. Terrell out of Clemson fits the bill, too, but Diggs is the better talent. A former wideout like his brother, Diggs will go up and make plays on the ball.
The predicted pick at No. 58: Terrell Lewis, OLB, Alabama
Lewis brings explosiveness off the edge and aggressiveness against the run.

The predicted pick at No. 22: CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
I'll admit, I got lucky here. There's a good chance that Henderson won't be available when the Vikings are first on the clock later this month. Widely viewed as one of the best three corners in this class (if not one of the best two), Henderson could be taken in the first 15 picks. (The Athletic's resident draft expert, Dane Brugler, had Henderson taken No. 17 by the Cowboys in his latest mock draft.)
The predicted pick at No. 25: Isaiah Wilson, T, Georgia
So even if Wilson is a second-round pick in many mock drafts, I had the Vikings pick for need here. This would allow them to shift Brian O'Neill to left tackle, slot Wilson as the right tackle, and move Riley Reiff to guard. I would argue that alone makes the offensive line better. And it sets the Vikings up with a pair of young offensive tackles.
The predicted pick at No. 58: Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State
In Aiyuk — also a bit of a lucky slip here at No. 58 — the Vikings would get one of the best receivers in college football last season and an elusive runner after the catch. While Aiyuk only played two seasons of Power Five football, he was a Third-Team All-American as an all-purpose player last season in his lone campaign as a starter.
The predicted pick at No. 89: Davon Hamilton, DT, Ohio State
He didn't become a starter until his senior season with the Buckeyes, but Hamilton had a good campaign in Columbus. He may not have gaudy sack numbers (six in 14 games), but he can rush the passer well, which is something the Vikings are missing at the position right now with Shamar Stephen as the incumbent starter.
The predicted pick at No. 102: Amik Robertson, CB, Louisiana Tech
Robertson is small (only 5-foot-8) but could start at nickel right away, and the Vikings need someone there if Hughes goes to the outside. Robertson may not have the technical prowess of some other corners, but he was a playmaker during his entire three-year collegiate career. It would be fun to see him learn under Mike Zimmer.

The predicted pick at No. 22: Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor
Mims offers a lot of the same things [Clemson's Tee] Higgins does in terms of the ability to win the ball in the air. [Mims] has more athletic upside and showcased tremendous skill as a route-runner in the postseason draft circuit, with a wider diversity of routes to run and greater precision with his route techniques than one expected given his role at Baylor.
The predicted pick at No. 25: Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU
Gladney … seems like the perfect Mike Zimmer cornerback. Brugler often describes Gladney as a "junkyard dog," a term he typically reserves for more physical positions.
The predicted pick at No. 58: Lucas Niang, T, TCU
Despite weighing in at 315 pounds at the combine, his film shows remarkable mobility and movement that overcame the tightness he felt in his hips — and he should be a great fit for the kind of zone-style running the Vikings employ.
The predicted pick at No. 89: Damien Lewis, G, LSU
He has to do a better job leveraging that power into his pass sets and improve as a pass protector, but he has all the tools to excel as a guard in the NFL at both skills. The Vikings will have to spend a little bit of time working on Lewis, but they could get a starting-caliber guard in the third round.
The predicted pick at No. 102: McTelvin Agim, DT, Arkansas
Agim is a lengthy defensive tackle who has played everywhere on the line. Originally recruited as a five-star prospect at defensive end, he could be what the Vikings are looking for at the position with his remarkable track record of run-stopping and ability to flex into the nose in a pinch — arguably his best position in college.

Could be the replacement for franchise-tagged safety Anthony Harris, if the Vikings trade him in the coming weeks, or might figure right into coach Mike Zimmer's "big nickel" scheme.
The predicted pick at No. 25: Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
A nifty slot receiver who ran 4.43 at the combine, Jefferson adds playmaking opportunities for Kirk Cousins and softens the loss of Stefon Diggs.

Jackson has an incredible backstory, and he's a heck of a player, too. The Vikings have invested in the offensive line over the past few drafts, but they may not be done. Still just 20 years old, Jackson's upside is off the charts.
The predicted pick at No. 25: A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson
Terrell had an outstanding combine and solidified himself as one of the top cornerbacks in this draft. The national title game was not his best showing, but Terrell has interviewed extremely well and has answered any doubts about that performance. He also has as much big-game experience as just about any top defensive back in this class. Minnesota's strength was once that defensive backfield. Not so much anymore. It's time to reload.

The departures of Stefon Diggs and Xavier Rhodes/ Trae Waynes create a big primary need on each side of the ball. My neutral model is slightly higher on Justin Jefferson than Higgins. However, pairing Higgins with Adam Thielen and Minnesota's tight ends adds the most wins in 2020.

This pick remains the same from last time, yet has a higher win impact now that Xavier Rhodes has departed.

Jefferson balled out at the combine, and that effort, in addition to his '19 season with Joe Burrow, makes him a solid first-rounder, and one who can excel from the slot in Day 1.

They lost two corners in free agency, so this would make sense. We know how Mike Zimmer likes to pick corners.

The Vikings have a need for an upgrade at WR2 to pair with Adam Thielen following the trade of Stefon Diggs, which has [brought] this pick to Minnesota. One of the biggest winners at the NFL combine, Jefferson ran a faster-than-expected 40-yard dash (4.43) and he's a nuanced route-runner with outstanding ball skills.
The predicted pick at No. 25: Yetur Gross-Matos, DE, Penn State
The departure of Everson Griffen (eight sacks in 2019) and Stephen Weatherly, who signed with Carolina in free agency, will lead to an expanded role for Ifeadi Odenigbo (seven sacks). Especially if four corners are off the board before the Vikings pick, adding another defensive end to the rotation makes sense here. Using his length, agility and first step, the ex-Nittany Lion recorded 17 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss combined over the past two seasons.

I continue to be stuck on Fulton to the Vikings with the No. 22 pick. Fulton is the type of cornerback who will not hesitate getting physical with receivers and is a sure tackler. That, combined with his ability to play man coverage, makes him an attractive target. If he didn't have some character issues in his past, he might be considered a more highly rated player.
The predicted pick at No. 25: Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU
After trading Stefon Diggs, the Vikings could use some help at wide receiver. Reagor is a big play waiting to happen. He is an aggressive pass catcher who will battle at the high point to make a catch. He's just behind [Jerry] Jeudy in terms of route runners in this class, and has value as a punt returner.

With Epenesa's proven play in the Big Ten over the last two seasons and his positional versatility, he's tailor-made for the Vikings 4-3 scheme.

Justin Jefferson in place of Stefon Diggs is such an easy fit. Jefferson doesn't have the same contested-catch prowess but as a route-runner, he's equally loose, physical and savvy.

The Minnesota Vikings and general manager Rick Spielman can't resist a first-round cornerback if they tried. A.J. Terrell has a well-rounded skill set and can win on the outside but only offers a modest ceiling.
