U.S. Bank Stadium, fresh off hosting its first Vikings playoff game and Super Bowl LII, has been nominated for additional awards.
The venue, which opened in 2016, is up for "Sports Facility of the Year" in the **11th annual Sports Business Awards**, the *SportsBusiness Daily/SportsBusiness Journal *announced Tuesday.
It is the second consecutive year for U.S. Bank Stadium to be nominated in the category. U.S. Bank Stadium was joined by Minneapolis neighbor Target Center, which was recently renovated, as well as Little Caesars Arena (Detroit Red Wings and Pistons), Notre Dame Stadium, SunTrust Park/The Battery Atlanta (Braves) and T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas Golden Knights).
The ceremony and awards gala is scheduled for May 23 at the New York Marriott Marquis at Times Square.
The Rush2Recycle program at Super Bowl LII was nominated for a separate recognition. The program is up for the "Sustainability and Community Award" in TheStadiumBusiness Awards, which will be presented during **TheStadiumBusiness Summit** on June 12 in Manchester, United Kingdom.
