ETFE Panel Installation Complete at U.S. Bank Stadium

If you've been following the U.S. Bank Stadium live cam feed you may have noticed some significant progress on the stadium's south side. Recently, the final transparent panels of the 60% ETFE roof were put in place. The ETFE roof, one of the state-of-the-art facility's main attractions, will help provide an outside feel in a climate controlled environment for Vikings fans.

Finishing touches to the roof installation process will take place over the next month.

LED Ribbon Boards Going in Place on Stadium Bowl's East Side

The interactive LED video ribbon boards that will wrap around the stadium's bowl have begun being installed on the building's east side. Fabricated at the Daktronics plant in Redwood Falls, Minn., the ribbon boards feature the same LED technology that will be used for the video boards that will be up to 13 times larger than those that were inside the Metrodome.

In the coming weeks, Vikings.com will have continuing coverage of the LED technology, ribbon board and video board installation.

Polaris Announced As Newest U.S. Bank Stadium Founding Partner, Co-Host of New Vikings Winter Festival

Another Minnesota-based company has joined forces with U.S. Bank Stadium and the Minnesota Vikings as Polaris was announced Tuesday as the stadium’s latest Founding Partner and an official sponsor of the Vikings. As part of the deal, Polaris will have internal and external signage at the new Vikings home set to open in July 2016, as well as exclusive sponsorship of the Northwest Gate. The company, based in Medina, Minn., had already been in the Super Bowl LII proposal as a potential way that could help chauffer fans from various tailgating spots to the game using their side-by-side vehicles and snowmobiles.

Starting in 2016, the Vikings and Polaris will co-host Vikings Winter Fest every February that will be a modified version of the former snowmobile rally.
