EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Saturday announced the signing of receiver Trishton Jackson to their 53-man roster and the elevation of linebacker Nick Vigil from the practice squad for their Week 8 game against the Packers.
Kickoff in Green Bay is scheduled for noon (CT) Sunday.
Jackson was elevated against the Chargers in Week 3, the Bears in Week 6 and the 49ers in Week 7. He recorded his first reception last week, enabling Minnesota to move the ball into range for a key field goal by Greg Joseph in the 22-17 win over San Francisco.
Vigil is being elevated from Minnesota's practice squad for the first time in 2023, but he brings considerable experience of 89 games played and 53 starts, including 16 games (12 starts) for the Vikings in 2021.
The Vikings also announced Saturday that running back Kene Nwangwu has been ruled out and is not traveling with the team.
