*Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer *
It'll be good to get back to U.S. Bank Stadium in front of our fans. It'll be nice and cold outside so it'll get be good for them to get in there and get loud, have a few cocktails. Am I not supposed to say that? Probably not. And have some fun.
Q: How nice is it to play inside on Sunday compared to last season?
A: I kind of liked it. We just play where they tell us to play. This is a great stadium and we've got terrific fans.
Q: What did you like about playing outdoors?
A: Just fun, it was fun.
Q: Is Joe Berger still in the concussion protocol?
A: I don't know, I don't know if he's passed or where he's at. I don't know.
Q: Have you made a decision on Adrian Peterson yet?
A: Not totally yet.
Q: What are the remaining factors?
A: We just have to make sure everything is good with the doctors and everything going forward, that's all.
Q: Will he have another MRI?
A: I don't know, I'm not in charge of that stuff.
Q: How big of an impact has Berger's absence been?
A: Well, we've had some mistakes with some of it. There's been some.
Q: How have you evaluated Captain Munnerlyn's season?
A: Not really, I'd have to think about it. Typically, I don't really evaluate anybody's season until the end of the year. Then we sit down and we figure out how guys play, we go through all the games again. You get so focused on the opponent and the things you're doing each week. You evaluate them in practice every day and in the games but not over a collective season. I do think that you can get swayed one way or another. A guy doesn't have a good game or a good two games but then you forget about the three games he played before. I think it's best that we just wait until the end of the season.
Q: How big of a challenge is T.Y. Hilton for him?
A: Big one, yeah. This guy is good. He's the number one receiver over 20 yards in the league. Fast, quick, competitive, it's a good one.
Q: Has there been a concerted effort to limit Terence Newman's snap count?
A: I don't know if a concerted effort is the way to say it. We try to manage his snaps. Trae has earned opportunities to play so that allowed us to do some of those things.
Q: Do you see him wearing down at all?
A: Maybe a year ago towards the end of the season, he would wear down a little bit. But no, I haven't seen that.
Q: Do you think team knows what's at stake?
A: I think they know.
Q: How much do you look at other scores?
A: During or after the game? [Reporter: Yeah, after or during the game?] Not really during, but after we play, it doesn't matter, every week I always look at who wins and who loses. Hopefully you win and then hopefully some other teams lose. You can't really do anything about it. But, do I look? Yeah.
Q: Before you get in the locker room do you talk to the players?
A: Oh no, no, no, no, no. Usually after I've done all my stuff that I have to do like talk to you guys. Most of the time I don't even know who plays who to be honest with you until I look at the scores throughout the league and who plays on Sunday, who plays on Monday night or whatever it is.
Q: Are you more anxious as you get later in the season?
A: No, because if we don't win then it doesn't matter. I do that every week, so I kind of just scroll through it really to be honest with you.
Q: Do you have anybody check scenarios for you?
A: No, because we have to win. None of that really matters.
Q: Do you know who the Green Bay Packers are playing?
A: They're at Chicago.
