*Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer *
It'll be good to get back to U.S. Bank Stadium. We haven't been there in a month. So, we need our fans to be loud. They've helped us in the three ball games we've played there. I'm going to try and make this the loudest stadium in the NFL.
Q: How is the noise level in U.S. Bank Stadium?
A: I think our fans have been very enthusiastic throughout the three times we've played there. You know they're extremely educated, so they know when to be loud and when to be quiet. They've done a great job. I think they're excited about being in the new stadium. It's been extremely loud down on the field especially when we do good things.
Q: What's your comfort level with Chad Greenway stepping into the nickel role?
A: He's an 11-year vet. I feel comfortable with everything. Chad's a great player. He's always prepared and ready to go. You know if he gets the opportunity to play some more plays, I know he'll be excited.
Q: Would the communication coming from you to the players be through Chad or Anthony?
A: No, it's not. It's not Chad. It's the same as it's always been.
Q: How does U.S. Bank Stadium compare to other stadiums in terms of noise level?
A: There's several loud stadiums. But, I'm sure we rank right up there with most of them. A lot of the times I think it has to do with how the team is doing. But, I think the noise comes back down off of the roof good. It's loud. I think asking the visitors is good, but I know our defensive players have said it's extremely loud when they've been on defense.
Q: Do you plan on the doors of U.S. Bank Stadium being open?
A: I think so, yes. It's supposed to be 65 (degrees).
Q: What's Detroit's offense looked like the past couple of weeks?
A: Good, explosive. They typically score a lot of points. Marvin Jones, who was with me in Cincinnati, is obviously a big play receiver who's made some big plays. (Matthew) Stafford is playing very well. (Theo) Riddick is a dangerous guy in and out of the backfield. They got (Eric) Ebron back, which helps. Golden Tate is always a dangerous guy. He's a wide receiver screen guy, so they're very explosive. I think Stafford is doing a great job in the pocket and they're very varied in what they do offensively.
Q: What makes Theo Riddick such a tough guy to cover?
A: He's a good matchup. He's good in the screen game. He's good getting out of the backfield in one-on-one situations. When they empty the backfield, he's a guy that you have to be careful with, as well, but mostly, I think he acceleration and his quickness.
Q: Have you seen a difference in Matthew Stafford without having Calvin Johnson this year?
A: It's hard to say. The things I see in him now is he seems to be moving more in the pocket. I don't know if that's based on the wide receivers that he has had or not. He has been very efficient with the football, but it's more of that. It's hard for me to judge if it's different with different receivers.
Q: How's your eye?
A: It looks great, doesn't it? It's actually a little better today. It's a little sore but good. I'm on – no, they don't have probable anymore, do they? I'm probable.
