*Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer *
We need our crowd to be loud. Start this playoff atmosphere in the stadium. What better way to start a New Year's Eve celebration than coming out and being loud at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Q: Do you plan to rule Pat Elflein out?
A: Yes.
Q: Is this a deal where if this were a playoff game or something, Pat Elflein would be able to go?
A: No.
Q: Is this injury something he did in particular or a continuation of an injury he's had.
A: Yes.
Q: If Joe Berger is your center, who would be your right guard?
A: I don't know. You'll have to see Sunday.
Q: To be able to move some of those guys around like you can with Joe Berger having played center, how much does it help when you're in a situation like this to have that flexibility?
A: Yes, all those guys are pretty versatile, so we'll see.
Q: With a top ranked defense, are there certain things you'd like to see them improve on yet?
A: Yes, every week there are things we have to improve on.
Q: Is there specific areas you would like to see improve?
A: We'd like to get some more turnovers. Some of the first down plays I think we can do better.
Q: What has Joe Berger done to help the new group this year?
A: Joe has played great all year long. Very solid, steady. Strong. Very, very smart. He's done an outstanding job all year.
Q: Did you expect Joe Berger to be as mobile as he has been?
A: Yes. He's been what he has been for a while. He played good last year. He's played well this year. He takes good care of his body.
