The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine is underway in Indianapolis, and 330-plus athletes will be working to put their best foot forward ahead of the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft.
Wednesday featured the start of podium sessions by teams' general managers and coaches – including Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman, **who spoke on a variety of topics** – as well as measurements and medical examinations by the offensive linemen, running backs and special teams standouts.

Combine coverage this year will again conclude with Rich Eisen's annual 40-yard dash for charity. The "Run Rich Run" effort, which is in its 15th year, benefits NFL PLAY 60 and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Lions Head Coach Matt Patricia had his turn at the podium from Indianapolis. He drew attention – and surprise – for a new look that strayed from the bushy beard and baseball cap.
In-season injury sidelines DT from bench press
According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams will not participate in the bench press due to a broken finger he suffered late in the season that will require surgery after the combine.
The defensive line group will be on the bench press on Saturday.
Charles Robinson tweets 'key measurements' from combine
Yahoo! Senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson posted a thread that highlighted "key measurements" from Wednesday's group of offensive linemen, running backs and special teamers.
Miller making comparisons
Bleacher Report's Matt Miller commented on Alabama offensive lineman Jonah Williams during the position group's measurements.
