Todd Davis (6-1, 230) joins Minnesota's active roster after not being on an NFL team through Weeks 1-2 of the 2020 season. The linebacker spent the offseason with Denver and was released on September 4 prior to the roster cut down deadline. A former undrafted free agent, Davis began his career with New Orleans in 2014 before finishing his rookie season with the Broncos. A six-year veteran, Davis played 85 regular-season games (63 starts) and four postseason contests during his career with New Orleans (three games) and Denver (82 games) combined. In 2015, he recorded two starts and helped Denver to a Super Bowl victory before earning a starting role the following season. The Palmdale, California, native led the Broncos and finished tied for eighth in the NFL in 2019 with a career-high 134 tackles (78 solo) despite missing the first two games of the season. For his career, Davis has recorded 458 tackles (290 solo), two sacks (4.5 yds.), 13 passes defensed, one interception (20 yds. TD), one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and 12 special teams stops. Davis played under Vikings Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach Gary Kubiak in 2015 and 2016 while he was head coach of the Denver Broncos.
