Thielen Up for 'Clutch Performer' Award for Week 11

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Vikings receiver Adam Thielen made a quick turn, shifted gears and mashed the gas.

He topped out at more than 20 miles per hour, according to Next Gen Stats, during a 65-yard touchdown Sunday to break open the game in the Vikings 24-7 defeat of the Rams.

The explosive and key play helped Thielen finish the game with six catches for 123 yards, and he scored a touchdown for the third consecutive week.

Thielen has been nominated for the Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week for Week 11, the NFL announced Tuesday.

The award is designed to recognize "the best performer or performance of the week that represents strength in key moments."

The other nominees are Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue.

Fans may vote for the nominees at nfl.com/castrol-edge through 2 p.m. (CT) Friday. The winner will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and then posted on NFL.com.
