Long before the Minnesota Vikings arrived in Nashville, Tennessee, the Vikings helmet was taking a tour around town.
The Vikings Instagram Group (The V.I.G.) worked with local photographer Stuart Deming to showcase some of the most scenic Nashville landmarks.
Deming is the third artist to contribute to the program, joining @donjay (Phoenix) and Vikings archive coordinator Zach Tarrant (Seattle).

How long have you been a photographer, and what got you into it?
I have been doing photography for about 10 months now. For the last few years, I have done iPhone photography. In December, I decided I should purchase a camera and see what [happened]. There are a few reasons that I got into it. I love exploring and seeing new things, so photography allows me to do that. I also really enjoy creating things, and photography is a good outlet for that.
What do you like about Instagram as a platform to showcase your work?
Instagram is by far my favorite social media platform that exists today. I love the visual content that people get to create and how engaged the community is. If it wasn't for Instagram, my photography business wouldn't be where it is today. I have gotten to meet and collaborate with some incredible people who I met through the platform.
Is there a specific subject matter you like to shoot?
My favorite subject matter to shoot is skylines. I get to explore, see the cities that people call home and show them off.
What was it like to work with sports as a subject matter?
This was my second time doing sports photography. The first time I did sports photography was for water sports, so the subject matter was completely different. It was awesome getting to showcase some of the things that Nashville has to offer. Overall, my experience this week was incredible. I learned a lot about myself and about what kind of shots I really enjoy taking. I also really enjoyed interacting with all the different fans.
What was your favorite part about shooting this past week?
I think my favorite part of shooting this last week was just getting to explore and meet awesome people throughout the week.
What was the most challenging part?
The most challenging part was actually trying to upload all the photos. There were a few times when both my computer and phone wouldn't allow me to upload. So, I had to try multiple times to get the photos uploaded.
Are you looking forward to seeing some of the future contributors to The V.I.G. over the course of the season?
Yes, I really enjoy seeing what other people create. Also, I get inspired to create new things when I see great content.
