Sod installation is now underway on the first field at TCO Performance Center, the Vikings new practice facility and team headquarters set to open in March 2018. Seeded to the Vikings specifications over a year ago by Graff's Turf in Fort Morgan, Colorado, the 100% Kentucky Bluegrass sod was loaded onto refrigerated trucks Monday for the 14-hour journey to Eagan. Five trucks, each kept at 40 degrees and carrying 7,200 square feet of sod, will arrive daily. The Vikings new home will have five outdoor fields - four grass and one synthetic.
On Tuesday the turf install began at the TCO Performance Center in Eagan.
