Surratt (6-2, 225) was the first defensive player drafted by the Vikings in 2021. At North Carolina, the quarterback turned linebacker finished his collegiate career as team captain and defensive MVP. With 207 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks and two interceptions his senior season, Surratt was selected First-Team All-ACC for the second season in a row and was named to both the Bednarik Award and Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists. In 2019, he made his first start at linebacker against South Carolina, ending the match up with a team-high of 12 tackles and a sack. Surratt finished his junior season ranking second in the ACC with 115 tackles, fourth with 8.8 tackles per game and fifth with 15 tackles for loss. The Denver, North Carolina native is the older brother of former Wake Forest wide receiver Sage Surratt, also entering his rookie season with Detroit in 2021.
Davis (6-4, 326), was the third of four players the Vikings selected in the third round in 2021. The Big Ten Conference's Rimington-Pace Award winner in 2020 as the top offensive lineman in the league, Davis was a two-time All-America and two-time All-Big Ten honoree. Davis' grandfather, Willie, is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame DE following a standout 12-season career with Green Bay (1960-69) and Cleveland (1958-59). Davis was part of a 10-member Ohio State draft class, matching Alabama for the most players selected in 2021.
Jones II (6-4, 262) was selected 90th overall in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the fourth of four third-round selections by the Vikings. Jones II earned 2020 consensus All-America status and selected First-Team All-America by Sporting News and Walter Camp and Second-Team All-America from the AFCA and Associated Press.
