Smith joined the Vikings a week ago and played 25 snaps in the preseason finale against the Chiefs on Friday night. He led Minnesota with 10 carries in the game. Smith totaled 27 yards on the ground with a long of 7 and added one catch that gained 8.
Johnson was an undrafted rookie out of California. He appeared in all three of Minnesota's preseason games, playing 12 defensive snaps against Denver, 26 against Indianapolis and 20 in Kansas City. He recorded a tackle against the Colts and the Chiefs.
Cabral was claimed by Minnesota off waivers in May after his release from Houston. A member of the Texans practice squad late in 2020, Cabral initially entered the NFL with the Rams as an undrafted free agent last year. He played 14 and 13 offensive snaps against Denver and Indianapolis, respectively, before handling 29 snaps at Kansas City.
Minnesota is scheduled to have practices on Monday and Tuesday before the deadline for final cuts.
