EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Tuesday announced multiple changes to their practice squad, including the signing of tackle Rick Leonard.
Leonard, 25, played collegiately at Florida State, where he teamed with Vikings running back Dalvin Cook from 2014-16.
Although Leonard began his time with the Seminoles on defense, he switched to offense in 2016 and made six starts that season. He followed with 13 starts at right tackle in 2017 (after Cook was drafted by Minnesota).
Leonard entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick by the Saints in 2018. He has not appeared in a game, despite making stops with New Orleans, the Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Cardinals again, Washington Football Team and Atlanta Falcons.
