EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Tuesday announced they have released former Minnesota Gophers quarterback Tanner Morgan from the practice squad.

Morgan joined the group last week.

Veteran backup quarterback Nick Mullens was inactive in Week 5 because of a back injury. Fifth-round draft pick Jaren Hall was active in his place but did not play against Kansas City.
