Profile
Summary:After dazzling as a safety, running back and return specialists for Bellevue teams that went 14-0 with 3A titles in three straight seasons, the Associated Press and Seattle Times Player of the Year for 2013 opted to stay close to home and helped Washington's rise through the college football ranks. He also won the 100 and 200 meters at state as a high school senior and was a member of the championship 400-meter relay team. Baker showed his athleticism for the NFL, clocking impressive times in drills designed to measure straight-line speed, quickness and agility. Some wonder if Baker's frame is too small for the next level. Lance Zierlein wrote Baker is an "**undersized free safety with the heart of a linebacker**."
Stacking up: NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock ranked Baker as his fourth safety prospect before the combine. Counterpart Bucky Brooks, however, did not have Baker in his top five. Daniel Jeremiah listed Baker at No. 24 overall in a list of 50 top prospects.
Body type:Baker's birth name is Bishard, but his mother thought he looked a Buddha doll when he was young. He was asked about his size at the combine.
"For me, I can't really get mad," Baker said. "God made me this height and all I can say is watch the film. We always talk about how the film will set you free so no matter how tall you are, how big you are, if you watch the film everything will take care of itself.''
Baker did admit to reporters he was 192 before weigh-in at the combine and downed two water bottles to tip the scales at 195.
