College Stats

2015:Led Tigers with 810 offensive snaps and was second on the team with 119 knockdowns, earning second team All-America honors and first team All-SEC honors. Helped LSU to a 9-3 overall mark and a 56-27 win over Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl. Alexander helped pave the way for a Tigers offense that led the SEC in rushing with 256.8 yards per game and scored 36 rushing TDs, the second-highest total in school history.

Career:Started 46 of 50 games played (25 at left guard, 21 at right tackle) and played 3,033 offensive snaps with 315 career knockdown blocks. Alexander helped LSU to a four-year record of 37-14, including four bowl games, and blocked for a 100-yard rusher in 28 games. LSU also had a 1,000-yard rusher in three of the four years Alexander started on offensive line.

Summary:Alexander's proven ability to play both guard and tackle is a selling point for many, although he appears most strongly suited as an interior lineman. His size will prove an advantage against NFL defenses, and he's praised for a natural athleticism and strength.

As a freshman, Alexander started nine games at right tackle after an early season injury to left tackle Chris Faulk rattled the lineup. Alexander's performance that season earned him Freshman All-SEC honors by the league's coaches. He moved to left guard as a sophomore, starting all 13 games and leading the Tigers to 71 knockdowns on the season. In the Outback Bowl, he was credited with a career-high 13 knockdowns.  In his third season with LSU, Alexander stayed at left guard and helped running back Leonard Fournette rack up 1,034 rushing yards. Alexander's streak of 32 straight starts snapped when he missed the Arkansas game in November 2015 because of a hand injury. He moved to right tackle as a senior and participated in the 2015 Senior Boal in Mobile, Alabama.

Stacking up:NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock ranked Alexander as the number two guard prospect in his pre-combine position rankings, while counterpart Bucky Brooks ranked Alexander third on his combo list of guards and centers.  

Vikings connection:Alexander and Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter, drafted 88th overall in 2015, played together at LSU for the 2012-2014 seasons.
