Summary:After standing out at Coppell High School, Williams made an immediate impact on the Longhorns offensive line, starting 12 games as a true freshman in 2015 and earning First-Team Freshman All-America honors by the Football Writers Association of America, *USA Today *and ESPN.com. Williams impressed again as a sophomore, starting 11 games, but missed the majority of his junior season with a left knee injury before declaring for the NFL Draft.

According to his NFL.com draft profile, Williams has earned a reputation as a locker room leader and is dedicated to his workout and training regimens. NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein called Williams a "**personal favorite**," but added that his 2017 tape didn't reflect the same work he had seen in his first two seasons at Texas.
